Armed with just a mic, her digital sampling foot pedal and a small mixer, Jacqueline Constance produces and performs songs right in front of your eyes. In the second installation of our #TastySessions series, we invited Philadelphia’s own Jacqueline Constance to do a private performance at our space.
Being from Philly, we’ve been familiar with Jacqueline for a few years now. Her cover remixes have gone viral on her YouTube page and she’s performed at some of the most prestigious venues across the city. Recently, she released her latest singe, “Carl Thomas.”
In her live set, she starts off with an original, unreleased song of hers called, “It’s You.” The record was one of Jacqueline’s first loop-recorded original songs. She also performed one of her more famous original songs, “Sway On” off her 2014 project, The Jacqueline Show. Jacqueline finished her live session by covering Sylvan Esso’s “Hey Mami,” and blending it perfectly with Desiigner’s “Timmy Turner.”
Jac’s ability to build a song from scratch mixed with her contagious personality made this #TastySessions episode extremely fun to watch, listen, film, and edit. Enjoy and make sure to follow Jacqueline on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
