Taste Creators hosts our first official stage at A3C 2017
Considered to be hip-hop’s biggest stage, the A3C Festival and Conference (held in Atlanta) hosts five days of panels, workshops, mixers, mentor sessions and interviews with hundreds of taste creators and industry experts. Thousands of hop-hop fans, artists and creatives from around the world gather to enjoy hip-hop music and culture.
This years festival is from October 4-8th and is headlined by Nas, and we’re excited to announce that we have partnered with A3C to bring you the official “Tasty Vibes” showcase!
Our stage features some of our favorite rising artists (many who have been featured on our Tasty Tuesdays Playlists) and blends many different flavors of hip-hop.
The show will be held on Thursday October 5th at TEN ATL from 9pm-1am.
Here’s a list of our featured performers (but there may be some surprise guests too)!
The Line Up
Shawn Smith is hands down one of our favorite artists coming out of Philly, even before he changed his name from Young Savage to Shawn Smith. He’s been getting a lot of love lately as he tore down the freestyle on Sway In the Morning as well as appeared on Joe Budden’s live podcast. We’re definitely excited to have him on our A3C stage!

Known for her tenacious bars as well as hits such as “3 the Hard Way” and her classic “Kollage” album. This lady MC has featured on tracks with everyone from Lauryn Hill to Erykah Badu, so we’re honored to have her bless our A3C stage!

Sliding through from Baltimore, Tate Kobang will be hitting the stage with his slick verses. Signed to 300 Entertainment, Tate has been releasing projects since 2011, but his career really took off with the release of his viral hit “Bank Rolls.” Learn more about Tate in this article with the Fader.
From her viral vine videos to being a star in Season 9 of Nick Cannon’s “Wild n Out” comedy game show to releasing her “Stack Now or Cry Later” project (now available everywhere), B. Simone is sure to light up our A3C stage.

Maryland – based artist and producer Mannywellz is the latest talent to come out of House Studios and we’re excited to have him bless our stage. With his Nigerian culture and catchy melodies, Manny is ready to take our ears to a different place. His music has been posted to numerous #TastyTuesdays Playlists, including his phenomenal remix of Drake’s “Controlla” to melodic tracks like “Gotta Know” and “Wrong Place” which combined have over a million streams on Soundcloud alone.
The power is in the headband and in the talent of course. Vinny Virgo will spice up the stage with his psychedelic sounds. His music is a mood. With vibey tracks like “Fast Car” which premiered on Mass Appeal not long ago, to bass heavy bangers like “House on the Hill” which really showcase his skills as an MC, Vinny is sure to turn our A3C stage into a party.
The Fader called Joie Kathos is one of the “5 Artists Ready To Be Philadelphia’s Next Champion.” The multifaceted MC and producer has been building a strong name for herself in and outside of Philadelphia with her empowering lyrics and amazing live show. When she’s not in the lab producing or tearing down a stage. you can catch Joie teaching hip-hop dance classes all over Philly. A3C is in for a treat with this one!

With over 200,000 streams on his last EP, and two tours under his belt, Baltimore’s own Malik Ferraud (formerly known as “MONEY”) has been making a name for himself in the hip-hop world for the last few years. Fun fact, Malik dropped a 27 track project called DAMN in 2012, way before Kendrick’s album. We can’t wait to see what he has in store for us at A3C!
We came across Clarksville rapper, Tim Gent, while browsing through our Soundcloud feed a little over a year ago and immediately became a fan. From his beat selection to his lyricism and flow, there’s no denying that this kid can rap his ass off (excuse our language lol). We’ve added him to numerous Tasty Tuesdays Playlists so it just made perfect sense to add him to our first official A3C show.
Baltimore’s own originator of “Basement Rap,” Butch Dawson has made a name for himself releasing tracks infused with grittiness and even some elements of jazz. He raps, he produces, he even sings at times so we’re definitely in for a surprise when it comes to his performance.
