NYC Hip-Hop, once known for it’s gritty and aggressive style, has for the most part been watered down by the waves of other regions. This change has created a void in the Hip-Hop community, leaving HIP HOP heads praying for that feeling to be restored. Those prayers may have very well been answered as Chinatown NYC based rapper, China Mac, starts the New Year off with a solid visual for his new single “Going Down” which features Nas’s artist and rising star Dave East. It’s like a breath of freshly polluted NYC air. The two MC’s opened lyrical fire on the Layzee Dee produced track giving Hip-Hop fiends from all over a much needed fix of authentic East Coast, Hardcore Hip-Hop. Everything from the 50 cent-esque hook to the black and white APJ directed video screams NYC. 2016 is looking bright for both rappers, and the Hip-Hop community may very well be seeing a shift back towards the Hip-Hop that they have been yearning for. It is indeed Going Down.
The song is currently #8 on Sirius XM charts, channel 44. Make sure you call in and request it to keep it in rotation! CALL (877) 60- HIPHOP To request China Mac’s “GOING DOWN” to be played on SIRIUS XM RADIO!
