The other night we attended a great music showcase in Philly, thrown by our good friend Phenom (@phenomenalraps), covered by our good friends over at Dinnerland. The event titled “A Night to Remember” was held at popular Philly venue, Bourbon and Branch. It was an intimate setting with great vibes and talent spilling out the door. Because we enjoyed the performances so much, we just had to give you the scoop on the artists who blessed the stage.

Noel Scales

We’re based in Philly, so we’ve known about Noel for a few years now however the growth in her artistry has been phenomenal. She opened up the show and immediately caught the crowds attention with her astonishing vocals and kept the crowd engaged the entire time. She’ll be dropping her project called “Beautiful Bad” soon, leading with a video for her single “Drippin” which just dropped a few days ago. Check out the track below.

Shawn Smith

After watching his growth for the past few years, we’re excited to see Shawn Smith getting the recognition he deserves. After appearing on Sway In The Morning to Joe Budden shouting him out on air, Shawn doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon. If you’re a fan of storytelling and lyricism, definitely check out the project below along with his recent music video for “Heaven” co-starring Affion Crockett.

Kil Confirmed

Aside from Kil being one of our favorite producers in the city of Philly (for instance, check out this track he produced for Kid the Great and this one he produced for Quice Lndon), he’s also an artist/songwriter. Continuing to build his momentum, he just dropped his new EP. Check it out below.

Corey Lee

Corey Lee has really been making a name for himself over the past year or so by staying consistent and keeping everyone on their toes anticipating for his album to come. Well, his album came and it was even better than expected. Check it out below.

Phenom

Last but definitely not least we have Phenom aka PhenomenalRaps – who’s lyricism and sincere demeanor makes him one of our favorite indies. Performing with a live band, Phenom brings great energy to every audience. Check out some of our personal favorites from Phenom below.
